Christmas Dinner

This year, I had my parents and brother over to my house to celebrate Christmas. It was a small and intimate party where we all had a lot of fun and ate a lot of quality food!

This is what was on the menu:

Appetizer
Brie cheese wrapped in a puff pastry with Apricot preserves

Dinner
Venison wellington with Gravy (the recipe is for beef wellington, but I used venison since my whole family adores it!)
Creamy Potatoes Au Gratin
Whiskey Glazed Baby Carrots
Homemade Pierogi
Honey Yeast Rolls

Dessert
An assortment of Christmas Cookies
Bûche de Noël

I wish I had set aside some time to take pictures so I could blog about all of these goodies, but dinner went so fast I barely had time to eat! So if you want the recipe for these, just click the link which will take you back to the original recipe.

And since I didn't get a chance to say it before:

I wish you all wonderful holiday season and a very happy New Year!

Everything looks delicious!! I think we may have the same china. Mine's Noritake Montvale Platinum. Yours is beautiful!

This looks great - I love gatherings like this with not a lot of people - makes the day much less stressful!

Stephanie, it's Noritake Silver Palace!! It must be a very similar design. Don't you just love it?!

Looks like a great menu! I also wanted to say THANK YOU for posting the recipe for pierogi. I am also Polish (my mom's mom moved here from Poland), but she is not well enough to really cook anymore. Unfortunately, I wasn't interested in cooking at all back when she used to make her homemade pierogi. I was seriously just telling my husband this weekend that I need to look around for an authentic recipe so I can make some and share them with him. I will definitely try your recipe. Thanks so much!
